At the forefront of equine reproductive research, our specialized team at the Tehran Horse Hospital has embarked on an ambitious and comprehensive study focusing on the reproductive health and performance of Arabian and Friesian mares. This project, now entering its sixth year for Arabian mares and its second year for Friesian mares, aims to analyze and compare advanced reproductive techniques including artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and targeted therapeutic methods for addressing infertility.
By incorporating state-of-the-art reproductive technologies and meticulous data collection, our research is designed to draw meaningful comparisons with other prominent horse breeds such as KWPN, Holsteiner, and Hanoverian. The ultimate goal is to identify breed-specific strengths and challenges in reproductive performance, optimize treatment protocols, and contribute valuable insights that could reshape best practices in equine breeding globally.
Our findings are expected to offer unparalleled contributions to the field, enhancing both scientific knowledge and practical applications within equine veterinary medicine. The results of these comprehensive studies will be presented in 2025 as research articles, which, upon peer review and publication, will be accessible to veterinarians and equine enthusiasts worldwide.
